BOLO Combustible Gas Sniffer from Nova Systems

BOLO Combustible Gas Sniffer form Nova Systems

Our new video shows you the features of the BOLO Combustible Gas Sniffer form Nova Systems. In this video we will show you the important features, what comes with it and also demonstrate its use. The BOLO is ideal for plumbers, HVAC workers and DIYers, or anyone needing to locate or check for gas leaks in tanks, pipe fittings, or valves.

The BOLO gas sniffer from Nova Systems is perfect for detecting gas leaks in your home, trailer, boat or anywhere else. This lightweight and compact gas detector provides cost-effective detection for a range of combustibles. The BOLO can detect natural gas, propane, hydrogen and butane, all of which are common to HVAC systems, plumbing and other gas installations. While the detector is on, you will hear a variable rate click alert sound. When gas is detected, the rate of the clicking increases with the gas-concentration (and therefore increases with greater proximity to the leak). LED indicators will flash on the wand, too.

The BOLO has many other great features too. It has a low battery indicator and automatically shuts off after extended periods with no use. It can run for up to 8 hours on the included AA batteries. A headphone jack and headphones are included so that you can still hear the clicks in noisy environments.

*Please note: For gas detection in OSHA-regulated confined spaces, this gas detector is not sufficient. Please see the BW or RAE Systems lines of gas detectors.

GasAlertMax XTII Deluxe Confined Space Kit

BW Honeywell Gas Alert Max XT II Deluxe Confined Space Kit

The BW Honeywell Gas Alert Max XT II Deluxe Confined Space Kit is the perfect addition to your confined space equipment. This Confined Space Kit is a great accessory to compliment the Gas Alert Max XT II multi gas detector from BW Honeywell. The already feature heavy detector, complete with an internal pump, four gas sensors, an LCD screen, one-button operation, and three types of alerts can be complete with the addition of this kit.  Inside this durable carrying case is a collection of pieces perfect to equip your gas sniffer. The main advantage included in the kit is the 3.3m/10 feet long sampling probe and side holster. The fleet manager II and the IR connectivity piece allow you to log all data collected on the various gas levels throughout the day. You can even tweak or change the settings on your device with this program.

In this video we run through the entire kit, describing in detail each piece included. You get a clear visual of the probe and ten feet of tygon tubing that allows you to sample the air before entering a confined space. The kit also includes a holster for the probe and a rubber boot for your gas detector. A constant flow regulator and tubing to connect to the regulator from the cylinder is included. We do mention however, that no cylinder of gas is included in this kit. Lastly, we include an infer-red adapter and computer cable, along with the fleet manager software that allows you to collect data. This kit is a fantastic accessory and we highly recommend it to complete your confined space equipment set.

BW Honeywell GasAlertMax XT II Gas Detector H2S, CO, O2, LEL

BW Honeywell GasAlertMax XT II Portable Pump Gas Detector H2S, CO, O2, LEL,

The GasAlertMax XT II, a handheld confined space multi-gas monitor, allows you to detect and monitor toxic gas levels while on the job. The internal pump allows continuous sampling of dangerously combustible and flammable gases via a probe, or the option of using the passive diffusion mode. The BW Honeywell GasAlertMax XT II Portable Pump Gas Detector H2S, CO, O2, LEL, is the most comprehensive detector from BW Technologies GasAlert series.

The GasAlertMax displays levels of all four gasses on its backlit LCD screen, allowing you to clearly and accurately monitor your environment no matter where you are. With the selection of alerts and alarms for dangerous levels, it ensures you get the message and will tell you the device is operating and fully functional.

In this video, we cover the basic procedure to calibrating your GasAlertMax XT II. We begin by introducing the cal gas from a cylinder of all four gasses, connected to a constant flow regulator that emits ½ a liter per minute. After the detector is turned on and the screen reads, “apply gas,” we connect to the cylinder and the gas reader begins to rise. After one minute the unit adjusts to the exact levels equivalent to the cylinder and the calibration alarm goes off, prompting removal of gas. The sensors in the device are then flushed with new air and the cal is reset. We suggest calibrating regularly as this is a life saving device and must be accurate when in use.
